I pulled this down when it was released a couple of weeks ago by my label mate Masmöd but I haven’t really had a chance to give it a proper listen until now. Hot damn. Now there is some obvious bias here since he is a part of the Nueva Forma family, but beyond that…this is such an approachable formation of skittering IDM rhythms and warm melodies. Reminds me to some degree of the first time I heard Planet Boelex‘s work. Beautiful, raw, emotional music that really transcends the “IDM” tag by being more human and organic. Cascading Lights in particular just kills it for me, so much so that I’ll be including it in my upcoming Tidalkast winter mix. Grab this free download EP if you haven’t already.
