Hollis Brown Thornton creates some extraordinary art. I think that part is pretty obvious by now. Let me step back a little and re-state. This isn’t digital peeps. His 8-bit works are done with acrylic. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find some of his other works that utilize pigment transfer among other techniques. With a nod to video games and pop-culture, his work can be a bit cheeky and still cause some serious visual heartache.
